The recent In Stream Freshwater Field Trip provided attendees with an enriching and eye-opening experience into the health and biodiversity of our local rivers. Hosted by esteemed freshwater experts Merrin Whatley from Adaptive Environmental Consulting and Ric Balfour from NZ Landcare Trust, the event was a resounding success.
Throughout the day, participants had the opportunity to witness firsthand the fascinating array of life that inhabits our waterways. From the elusive koura to the majestic tuna, attendees were treated to exciting sightings and valuable insights into the intricate ecosystems that exist within our rivers.
